I always say that those recipes that seem the most complicated are the simplest ones. Don’t think I say this because I have experience in the kitchen. Let me tell you something, cooking is a matter of good vibes, chemistry (turning separate elements into a whole) and spirituality, as it transmits love through food and gets you to a level of concentration when cooking similar to meditation. You just have to get a simple recipe, have all the elements (ingredients and appliances) and lose yourself in body and soul to the preparation. You will see how, in a few minutes, you will dazzle your family with dishes without comparison. It’s not about how complicated the recipe might be, but just about the simple act of cooking. I wan to show you an example through this Cherry Cheesecake recipe. It’ll take less than 15 minutes to put together.
Let’s get cooking!
- Mix together graham cracker crumbs, margarine, and sugar in a bowl until well incorporated and crumbly. Press into a pie plate going up the sides as much as possible.
- Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth and spreadable. Whisk whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until smooth. Pour cream cheese into prepared crust. Smooth the top with a spatula, and refrigerate until firm, about 2-3 hours. Spread the cherry pie filling over the top, and refrigerate until serving.
