When I got married my mother-in-law alerted me about my husband’s sweet tooth. (I didn’t tell her, but I already knew it) While dating, I was able to verify the good appetite of who would be my future husband, both for salty food and (especially) of sweets. Although I like the kitchen and always, since I was little, I cooked, it was not until I got married that I started to stand out day by day with Tata’s recipes, especially desserts, so I would always spoil my husband. One day, to my surprise, he decided he was going to cook a dessert. I thought I’d get ice cream out of the fridge and put a cookie… Ohhhhhh I was soooo wrong! He made a magnificent blueberry pie. It was the best blueberry pie I had eaten so far in my life. Now, what impressed me the most was how fast he made it. When I asked him how did that happen, he confessed he also has very good cooking skills but he didn’t want to brag! Anyways, here’s the recipe, hope you like it! (Let me know if you do on the comments below)
Let’s get cooking!
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Unfold first pie crust and press into pie dish
  • Place blueberries in strainer and rinse
  • Drain berries and add to large bowl
  • Add flour and toss to coat
  • Add sugar, a squeeze of lemon and a dash of salt
  • Pour berries into pie shell
  • Cut other pie crust into 1 ” strips
  • Place strips on top of crust in criss-cross pattern to form a lattice
  • Bake for 45 – 60 minutes or until bubbly
Serve and shhhhh, we don’t want my husband to know I gave you his recipe :p
